Heat Stress Prevention Policies

Each year in Ontario, at least one or two heat-related fatalities are reported in the workplace. To prevent this terrible outcome, Taylor’d Ergonomics can help you to set up a heat stress prevention program that follows the Ministry of Labour recommended American Congress of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH) guidelines. Our process provides a plan to trigger heat readings and respond with appropriate breaks for each zone in your plant. The objective of this program is to prevent workers from experiencing heat related illness, while minimising the amount of down time required for heat relief. We accompany the program with skill-based training to ensure that your heat stress response team is equipped to manage the program.
