Site licence for “How to set up a home office” presentation

If you’d like to share the presentation with  employees through your intranet, please purchase a licence. (View it from our website for free, here.) We’ll add your logo, and make any minor edits requested (e.g. to advise employees whom to contact if they have concerns).

50% of your purchase supports our small business during the pandemic shutdown. We’ll donate the other 50% to the Covid-19 Pandemic Response Charity “Food Banks Canada.

$500, plus HST. When we receive your payment, we will contact you by email, to request your logo or company name as you’d like it to appear on the slides, and a list of any edits you might like. We’ll send you a pdf version of the slides, to share with your home office employees. Available in English and French!

Office ergo assessment (on-site)

To complete an on-site office ergo assessment, an ergonomist spends 1.5-2 hours with the employee, followed by report writing, typically on-site immediately following the assessment. The process includes a pre-assessment survey, interview, observations of employee at work, measurements of key dimensions, adjustments of chair, keyboard, mouse, and screen position, a detailed report with recommendations for employee and manager (including links to suggested products), and a follow up survey. $550 each, plus mileage and hst. We will contact you upon receipt of payment by email to schedule your assessment. Please note that mileage from our closest office (at $0.55/km round trip) and hst will be invoiced following the assessment.

Office ergo assessment (Remote) 

To complete a remote office ergo assessment, we start by sending a survey and video request (with detailed instructions and an example). An ergonomist spends about an hour on videoconference with the employee; we interview to understand concerns, observe working postures, and assist with making adjustments to the chair and/or work station. We write a report to summarise. The process includes a follow up survey.

$250 each, plus hst. We will contact you upon receipt of payment by email to schedule your assessment.

Employee MSD prevention Face-2-Face training

Schedule a full day of ergo training, offering the sessions that best target the hazards in your workplace (one hour each except where noted):

office (traditional seated desks)

office (sit/stand desks, 1.5 hours)

driving

lifting

industrial (standing, reaching, repetitive work, pushing/pulling)

supervisors (general, or office, 1.5 hours)

        joint health and safety committees (2 hours)

public works or outdoor workers (2 hours)

All topics include plenty of “hands-on” activities to help employees learn how to use best practices. Schedule 1-4 sessions per day. The ergonomist stays for the full day, helping employees apply what they learn in the session to their own jobs or workstations.

$1250 per day, plus materials, mileage and hst. We will contact you upon receipt of payment to schedule the training. Please note that mileage from our closest office (at $0.60/km, round trip), course materials ($5/person), and hst will be invoiced following the training. Quick deposit

“Purchasing” a deposit will allow you to confirm a project without a purchase order.

$500. We will contact you by email, upon receipt of your deposit, to schedule your project. The balance of consulting fees, expenses, and HST will be invoiced following the assessment.

Why purchase ergo awareness programs and products?

In order to maintain the momentum of a successful ergonomic program, employers need to frequently remind employees of the benefits of ergonomics. The materials described below, in conjunction with a solid ergonomics process, can help to keep ergonomics on everyone’s minds. Programs primarily focus on work-related ergonomics topics, with a few topics sprinkled in to show how ergonomics can be applied at home and at leisure.

One-year awareness program

This electronic package includes a carefully selected array of awareness mate

rials. Each bulletin, ergo thought, or awareness sheet was written by a team of professional ergonomists, aimed at supporting the use of ergonomics at home and work.

The bulletins and ergo thoughts were created as slides, and are delivered as “pdf” documents. The one page awareness sheets were created as documents to be printed or shared electronically, and are also delivered as “pdf” documents.

The package includes:

 

  • 12 bulletins (5-slides per board, pdf documents), which can be printed or displayed on a screen
  • 52 ergo thoughts (pdf documents)
  • 50 one-page awareness sheets (20 puzzles/contests, and 30 information sheets on a variety of topics)

This poster demonstrates stretches for the joints and major muscle groups that are used in office, health care, industrial, transportation, and other work environments. We have only included stretches that can be performed while standing or sitting. The poster also provides instructions about how and when to stretch.
