Josie Blake, London
Josie joined Taylor'd Ergo in July, 2014, after graduating with an Honours B.Sc in Kinesiology (Co-op). She had already worked under the direction of a Taylor'd ergonomist for two work terms at a poultry processing plant. Josie obtained her Canadian Certified Professional Ergonomist status in January, 2019. She is based out of London.
The following projects are a sampling of Josie’s work, over the past few years with us:
On-site ergonomist for a brewery, candy manufacturer, packager, and long term care facility. Josie completes and maintains PDA/CDAs, conducts ergonomics (risk) assessments, and supports implementation of projects that are in process. She provides regular progress reports, and coordinates awareness initiatives, including the bulletin board and quarterly ergo contests.
Ergo assessments and PDAs in a variety of work environments including meat processing, long term care, offices, automotive foam and other parts, cement, municipal transit, mechanics, cheese, outdoor municipal work, hardware stores, and bottling.
Ergo workshop facilitation for office, lifting, and industrial audiences. Josie has received high praise for her leadership of our one-hour workshops. In 2018, she recently completely overhauled our 4 core workshops, and led the development of our new supervisor, sit/stand, JHSC, and public works programs. She has also started to facilitate our Office Ergo and PDA workshops.
